Our highly qualified team has a combined Child Care industry experience of over 125 years which includes 85 of these years at Summerlin. Our team has varying levels of education required to provide an early childhood educational experience that is age appropriate and meets the needs of a young mind. The team meets all the requirements & guidelines set by Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (TDFPS) and continued education and training is a core element of the team. The entire team is certified in SIDS, CPR and First Aid. The facility enjoys the professional services of a private certified trainer & retained consultant to continually educate and advise the team. Together we strive to make our facility the best it can be.

Ages of Admission:
Our facility is licensed for the care of children ages 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Full time Child care with 2, 3 or 5 day per week programs are available. Drop-ins accepted subject to availability. Classes are divided into age appropriate and exceptionally very small groups.

If the holiday falls on a weekend, the facility will be closed the same days as permitted by CCDS.

Absences Tuition must be paid in full whether your child was present everyday or not. Please notify the facility if your child will be absent that day.

Late Pick Up Charges A late fee of $5 for every 5- minute increments will be charged and will be paid in cash upon arrival.

Meals and Snacks Well-balanced nutritional & healthy lunches, mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are provided. All children arriving prior to 9:00 a.m. are offered breakfast

Curriculum Age-level appropriate curriculum encompassing all developmental areas to challenge and stimulate children and develop the young mind and ignite interest. Opportunities for exploration, self-expression, independence, and responsibility are encouraged. We offer an accelerated and vastly enriching learning experience. Field trips and visitors (firemen, policemen, magicians etc.) to the center are arranged from time to time. A Computer Learning center is available for the older children.

Transportation We provide transportation for after school pick up from nearby elementary schools. During camp days transportation to and from all field trips will be provided.
We provide transportation from the following schools: Boone, Carnahan, LockHill, Thornton, Scobee, Wanke.

CCDS We are a licensed Child Care Delivery System (CCDS) provider.

MEDICATION Medications may be administered under the following conditions: Summerlin will administer medication only, if the prescribed doses are for more than two times a day or as prescribed “as needed.”
WRITTEN CONSENT: Parental and physicians consent is required to administer ANY medication.

PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION All prescription medication must be in its original container and properly labeled with child’s full name, date prescription was filled, medication’s expiration date and legible instructions for administration such as manufacture’s instruction or prescription label.

SECURITY Children will be released only to persons designated by parents on the enrollment form. No Exceptions are made in this respect at our facility. For the enhanced protection & safety of the Children at the facility, Parents are provided with individual & unique access codes ensuring secured & authorized access only to the premises. Video monitors are installed to allow controlled & supervised access to visitors. A 24/7 video surveillance system is installed at the main entry and exit door that records entry & exits for up to six weeks.

REGISTRATION & SUPPLIES A Non- refundable registration fee of $60.00 ($75.00 per family) is due upon enrollment and annually thereafter, along with 1 weeks tuition in advance. A supplies fee of $45 is due at the time of enrollment and $45 every six months thereafter. Family Fees: $5 Discount for older siblings (when more than one child is enrolled) Tuition: Tuition is due in advance on Monday Mornings (First day of attendance for Part- Timers) Late Fees: A $5 late fee is assessed each day payment is delayed. Full payment and late fees must be received by the end of that week or child(ren) will be temporarily denied care.
