Over 125 Years Experience

Our highly qualified team has a combined Child Care industry experience of over 125 years which includes 85 of these years at Summerlin. Our team has varying levels of education required to provide an early childhood educational experience that is age appropriate and meets the needs of a young mind. The team meets all the requirements & guidelines set by Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (TDFPS) and continued education and training is a core element of the team. The entire team is certified in SIDS, CPR and First Aid. The facility enjoys the professional services of a private certified trainer & retained consultant to continually educate and advise the team. Together we strive to make our facility the best it can be.

Team Profiles

Narlie “Ali” Hebert- Director
“Ali” has been with Summerlin for 7 years. Before joining the Summerlin family she earned her Bachelors degree in Education from the University of the Philippines. She has previously had experience as a public school teacher. “Ali” has also earned a degree as Medical Assistant from Career Point College. She calls Summerlin her “home away from home!”
“Ludy” Calma
Leodegarian “Ludy” Calma- Classroom Teacher (3 year old teacher)
“Ludy” Calma has been at Summerlin for 8 years. She is one of our most well known and loved teachers. “Ludy” received her Bachelors degree of Science in the Philippines. While living in the Philippines she was a high school teacher. “Ludy” loves interacting with her students and the parents of the facility. Her class is known as the “zumba class” because she incorporates dance as much as possible in her lessons. She has 3 children of her own, but says the children and staff of Summerlin are her second family!
Angelyn Blancas- Classroom Teacher (2- 3 year olds)
Angelyn Blancas has been with the Summerlin family since it opened in 2000. Angelyn previously owned a home daycare in Austin serving the military. Angelyn has experience working with all ages in the daycare setting. Angelyn loves interacting with the parents and students of Summerlin! She says she has stayed with the daycare for 11 years because the staff at Summerlin is like a second family!
Gloria Garcia- Classroom Teacher (2 year old teacher)
Gloria Garcia joined the Summerlin family in 2002. Gloria is a mother of 2 boys ages 5 and 2 who also attend Summerlin. Gloria enjoys watching the children in her classroom learn and grow. She also get enjoyment while assisting her children in potty training and teaching them as much as she can. She has a great rapport with all her parents!
Brenda Rangel- Classroom Teacher (Pre- K & Infant)
Brenda Rangel has been a part of the Summerlin family for 3 years. She is currently our morning Pre- Kinder teacher and afternoon Infant teacher. She has 7 years experience in the daycare industry and has worked in all age groups. Brenda has attended San Antonio College and UT Pan American, she is currently working toward becoming an LVN. She has a 9 year old daughter who attends the after school program at Summerlin. Brenda enjoys circle time and teaching her students phonics!
Yesenia Cenoz- Classroom Teacher (Infant)
Yesenia joined the Summerlin family three years ago. She loves the infant room and enjoys teaching them. Yesenia is the proud mother of 3 children!
Linda Whitworth- Classroom teacher ( Pre- Kinder- afternoon)
Linda Whitworth was among the first people to join the Summerlin family in 2000 when the facility opened. Linda started in the Pre Kinder room in 2000, and then became Director for 10 years. She is now our afternoon Pre Kinder teacher. Linda earned her Bachelors degree of Psychology in the Philippines. Linda enjoys teaching and interacting with her classroom children. Linda bases her teaching on being positive. She believes if a child is taught positively early in life it will stick with them forever. In her classroom you will see plenty of reading, dancing and singing. Linda states that teaching was her calling, it keeps her young!
Linda Sutterfield- Classroom teacher (School Age)
Linda Sutterfield became a part of the Summerlin family six years ago. She has worked in the daycare industry since 1976, working with all ages. Linda is currently our School Age teacher. Linda enjoys incorporating science and music into the children’s daily activities. In her classroom you will see many hands on activities, games (inside and out), science activities, and Math challenges. Some of her favorite activities are building volcanoes and shaving cream fun. Linda has a great rapport with all her students and parents
Linda Nasis- Classroom Teacher (12- 24 Toddler)
Linda joined the Summerlin family two years ago. Linda is currently our afternoon 12-18 month teacher. She enjoys interacting with her children and parents. In her classroom not only will you see learning, you will also see plenty of play, dancing and fun!
Edna Castaneda- Classroom Teacher (2-3s Afternoon)
Edna Castaneda started at Summerlin when it opened in 2000. After earning her CDA in Pre- School Edna worked for a charter school for 4 years. In 2008, Edna made the decision to come back to Summerlin. She is presently our afternoon Two year old teacher. In her classroom she focuses on potty training to get her students ready to move up to the next classroom. She also strives to improve her students social skills. Edna enjoys seeing the children of her classroom learn and grow!
Heena Patel – Vice President
Heena has a Bachelor’s degree in Home science specializing in ‘Family Resources management’ from Sardar Patel University, Valabh Vidyanagar, India. She has undergone training as a Yoga instructor and as a food manager. She ensures that high standards of nutritional meals are served to children at Summerlin. She loves being with the children and overseas the overall operations at the facility.
Nimesh R. Patel – President
Nimesh has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and earned an MBA in International Business from University of South Florida. He oversees the administration and management at the facility. His vision for Summerlin is to continuously strive to improve and raise the bar & quality of learning and care provided at the facility and to ensure Summerlin maintains its position as one of the best facilities and preferred child care & learning center provider in the area.
